Gurman also report that Apple will release an M5 MacBook Pro in the October / November timeframe .
Gurman refers to the M5 iPad Pro as a “ micro chip - and - ship ” model , mean that the only major upgrade to the gadget will be a young C.P.U. . With theM4 iPad Proreleased in July last year , Apple upgraded the display to OLED , made the twist thinner , and locomote the front - facing television camera to the long side , in improver to the chip upgrade . The M5 is expected to offer an incremental operation boost from the M4 , in all likelihood in the range of 15 to 25 percent in central processing unit speed .
