The Preview app in macOS lets you consider , lookup , mark , and do other actions on PDF data file . But if you just need a new PDF with specific pages , you do n’t have to mess around around much at all .

View Thumbnails in Preview

Foundry

With the PDF open , chooseView > Thumbnailsif it ’s not already show in the sidebar .

Select the pages you want

In the sidebar , tap the varlet you want . If you want to select multiple pages , hold the fracture key when you select the Thomas Nelson Page .

Go to the Print dialog

ChooseFile > Print .

Instead of choosing Print , you could also at this stage just drag the pages to the Finder onto the Desktop or into a folder at this stage , too , if you do n’t need to give the excerpted page or paginate a name , preview your extract , or set other option from the Print dialog .

In the Pages area of the Print dialog , clickSelected PageorSelected Pages in Sidebar .

Save as PDF

From the PDF bug out - up menu at the bottom center of the dialog , chooseSave as PDF .

Change the PDF name

Preview automatically fills in the current PDF ’s name . To avoid overwriting that file , enter a young descriptive name and clickSave .
